Microsoft, Google Make Responsibility List

The Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship this week released a list of the 50 most socially responsible companies, and several companies with a foot in the CE industry placed highly on it.

Microsoft and Google took the second and third spots, with Apple placing 13th, Costco 15th, GE 22nd, Whirlpool 23rd, Target 24th and IBM 30th. HP took the 34th spot, Amazon.ocm 46th, and BJ's Wholesale Club 50th.

The Walt Disney Co. was #1 on the list. Criteria for the list included citizenship, governance and workplace conditions.
