On Brian Dunn's first day as CEO of Best Buy, the company announced that it will open 40 standalone Best Buy Mobile stores this year, with an eye towards capturing 15 percent of the domestic mobile phone market.

According to the Wall Street Journal,
Dunn said the company plans to emphasize the "connectivity" of its products, and with that will come a greater emphasis on mobile. Best Buy currently has about 3 percent of the market.

Best Buy is also planning to test new store layouts this year, which include a special area where customers can try out the "latest and greatest" products. This will be done with an eye towards new store layouts in 2010, Dunn told the paper.

As planned, Dunn replaced the retiring Anderson as CEO on Wednesday.
